What converts well

Digital PDFs with ruled grids or clear column alignment. Photos of tables and scanned statements need OCR first. If there are no tables, the tool says so instead of inventing a spreadsheet.

Step-by-step

  1. Open PDF to Excel.
  2. Upload a text PDF (about 50 MB, 80 pages).
  3. Convert and download the .xlsx.
  4. Check each sheet — one table per sheet — then save as you like.

Will a scanned statement convert?

Not until it has a text layer. Run OCR first, then convert to Excel.

How are tables organized?

Each detected table becomes its own sheet, named by page. Numbers stay numeric.
