ChargeBite Tools is a free PDF and image suite onchargebite.net, run by Charge Bite. The name is ChargeBite, one word. Everyday file jobs — shrink a scan for Gmail, crop a Passport Seva photo, unlock a statement whose password you already know — should not require an account or a document archive.

How the engines actually work
Server PDF jobs upload over HTTPS, process in a job directory, stream the result, and delete the temp files. Image compress, ZIP, JSON pretty-print, and India form photos never leave the browser.
- Compress PDF — Ghostscript quality presets, optional byte cap (200 KB, WhatsApp 16 MB, Gmail 25 MB).
- Office → PDF — LibreOffice headless, pictures not downsampled.
- PDF → Word / Excel — pdf2docx and table extraction; scans need OCR first.
- OCR — Tesseract 5 via ocrmypdf (English, Spanish, French, German).
- Protect / unlock — pikepdf AES. Unlock never cracks passwords.
- PDF → JPG/PNG — PDFium at 150–600 DPI.
- Convert / resize images — LANCZOS, EXIF orientation, ICC when the format allows.
- Redact — opaque boxes burned in; marked pages flattened at 300 DPI.
What Charge Bite does not fake
Add-signature is a stamp, not a legal e-sign. Unlock requires the password you already know. Size-cap compress says so when a text-only PDF cannot hit 200 KB. India photo presets match common digital boxes (630×810, PAN 10 KB, exam 20–50 KB); they are not an acceptance guarantee from Passport Seva or UPSC.
